BRIAN SHERMAN is an entertainment executive, entrepreneur and the Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Head Agent of IPEX ARTISTS AGENCY (IAA). A veteran of the entertainment industry with 25 years of experience, Brian has extensive expertise in the representation of authors, creative talent and properties for the live stage.

IAA clients include playwrights, librettists, composers, lyricists, directors, choreographers, designers, screenwriters, producers, and corporate clients in media and entertainment, including prolific music publishers Reservoir and Raleigh Music Group, edutainment company Broadway Education Alliance and their flagship imprint Camp Broadway, and digital technology company Harmony Helper. New stage musicals in development with IAA include Monster Mash the Musical, Hoagy Carmichael’s Stardust Road, Make Way for Ducklings and The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings.

Prior to launching IAA, Brian worked for nearly two decades for the world’s leading theatrical publishing and licensing firms, including Music Theatre International, Samuel French, and Concord Theatricals imprint Rodgers & Hammerstein, where he served as Director of Professional Licensing. Throughout his career he has worked with or on behalf of the most celebrated authors, shows and catalogs in the history of theatre, including Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber (The Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar), Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton, In The Heights), Disney Theatricals (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin), Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell), Stephen Sondheim (Into The Woods, Sweeney Todd), Frank Loesser (Guys and Dolls, The Most Happy Fella), Jerry Herman (La Cage aux Folles, Hello, Dolly!), Alan Menken (Little Shop of Horrors, Sister Act), Dean Pitchford (Footloose, Carrie), Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray, Catch Me If You Can), Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Seussical), and the estates and catalogs of Cole Porter, George and Ira Gershwin, Tennessee Williams, Arthur Miller, Marvin Hamlisch, Irving Berlin, and Rodgers & Hammerstein.
Brian began his career in entertainment as a singer-songwriter, voiceover artist and composer-lyricist of musicals. He is an ASCAP affiliate, an alumnus of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop and a graduate of Muhlenberg College.
